DUBAI February 25: Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars square-up for a potentially explosive encounter with just one HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) berth available for the two teams.
Qalandars will seal a place in the top-four if they prevail over Kings today while a Kings win will almost guarantee them their spot in the play-offs line-up.
Kings have four points from six games while Qalandars have accumulated six from their seven, a win for Kings will give them six points, only a heavy defeat to Islamabad United in the last league match on Sunday will deny them a place in the play-offs, Qalandars will seal their berth as their points tally will surge to eight if they topple Kings today.
The two cities with a rich history and a cricket rivalry spanning decades have all to play for today and a pulsating game is expected with the likes of Chirs Gayle, Brendon McCullum, Shoaib Malik, Sunil Narine, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman expected to play pivotal roles in front of a holiday crowd at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
